Synopsis
The story of Ömür, a strong woman who lost her youth when she was forced to marry at fifteen, only to be abandoned with three children. She starts her own business and, as her hard work pays off, she becomes a respected figure in her neighborhood, “Ömür the Mechanic.” Ömür works hard to raise her family with integrity and honor, even while her children face their own secret battles: her eldest son raises his child alone while battling a gambling addiction, her responsible daughter hides an unplanned pregnancy after a devastating deception, and her youngest – a promising medical student – hides his family’s poverty and creates an elaborate double life in order to date a rich girl. Ömür has her hands full when she runs into a childhood friend from the old neighborhood, sparking an authentic connection that reopens her guarded heart to love.
Just as these explosive secrets collide, Ömür experiences a reversal of fortune that could change her family’s circumstances forever. But what seems like a blessing soon feels like a curse, as Ömür must fight to keep her family’s soul intact.
