Safir, the now-concluded Turkish Drama that aired on ATV in the 2023-2024 season, has received a nomination in the Telenovela category at the 2024 International Emmy® Awards.
The only entry from Türkiye in that category, the NTC Medya-produced has captured international attention with its captivating storyline, breathtaking Cappadocia setting, and outstanding performances from co-leads Özge Yağız, İlhan Şen, and Burak Berkay Akgül.
With Safir’s nomination, ATV once again solidifies its position as a leading force in global television. This recognition highlights the growing influence and reach of Turkish dramas on the international stage, resonating with viewers through their unique storytelling and cultural depth.

Safir followed the story of Feraye, a textile design student and housekeeper at a wealthy Gülsoy family mansion in Cappadocia, whose affection for Yaman, one of the family’s heirs, unravels her life and that of those around her after a tragedy that befalls on her birthday.
The 2024 International Emmy Awards® winners will be announced at a ceremony in New York City in November 2024.
