Hazal Subaşı and Burak Berkay Akgül, the stars of the hit series “Six of Us,” made their Cannes debut in style at a special press conference hosted by OGM Universe at the iconic Majestic Hotel. Joining the duo was the series’s legendary director, Cem Karcı.
“Six of Us,” OGM Pictures’ heartfelt family drama that quickly became a fan favourite, tells the story of six siblings — Azize, Cemo, Zeliha, Fidan, Samet, and Balım — who, after the sudden loss of their parents, struggle to stay united and survive.
Forced to flee the only home they’ve ever known, the siblings find themselves in Istanbul, where new dangers await. Seeking refuge with their late father’s trusted friend, “Uncle Aslan,” they soon become entangled in life-changing events, crossing paths with more than a few hidden enemies.
For Azize, the devoted eldest sibling who has always carried the weight of her family on her shoulders, support arrives from an unlikely source — Devran Alaz, the brooding son of a wealthy family torn between his past and his future. What begins as a relationship born out of necessity soon deepens into something real, drawing Devran, Azize, her siblings, and their newfound allies into an ever-unfolding web of twists and turns.
Week after week, Six of Us continues to draw praise for its authentic depiction of sibling dynamics — something lead actress Hazal Subaşı says stems from the close-knit connection the cast built off-screen. “Before Devran came along, our priority for this project initially was making people believe we are six siblings – real siblings.”

“With the arrival of Devran, she was expecting that her life would get even worse but on she was wrong and the relationship they built together made her even stronger,” she added.
“When I first met Burak, we instantly connected because our sense of humour is very similar, and I think that translates really well into the story,” Subaşı recalled.
Akgül echoed the sentiments, adding that understanding his character “became much easier for me when I realized all of his reactions, his facial expressions, everything comes from his heart as opposed to his words.”
The captivating series, currently in its second season, is poised to become the next big hit beyond Türkiye.
