MIPCOM is officially in full swing, and among the incredible lineup of Turkish dramas being showcased is “Arafta.”
Born out of a collaboration between GoQuest Media (known recently for the hit “Kuma” series) and Rains Pictures, the powerhouse behind so many fan-favourite shorter-form Turkish dramas, the sure-to-be instant-hit series will consist of 100 60-minute episodes.
Dizilah got an exclusive sneak peek at the new series, and trust us when we say it has EVERYTHING: from enemies-to-lovers to marriage of convenience, to stunning cinematography, to leads with SIZZLING — and we mean SIZZLING — chemistry. No, seriously, it was literally oozing from the screen.
Set against the picturesque landscapes of Turkey, Arafta unravels a tale of love forged in the flames of vengeance. Ateş, a man haunted by childhood scars and consumed by rage, returns to destroy the family that shattered his life years ago. His weapon is not a sword, but a marriage: 187 days with Mercan, the daughter of his enemy.
Mercan, already promised to Nezir, is thrust into a battle she never chose, while Ateş binds her to him believing she is the key to his revenge. Yet the woman he intends to destroy becomes the one who threatens to undo him. And in the shadows, Aslı - driven by jealousy, seizes every chance to tear them apart.
Suspended between love’s salvation and fate’s cruelty, Arafta is a saga of passion and payback, where every choice risks turning fire into ashes.
