The duo that puts the STAR in SUPERSTARS graced MIPCOM with their presence today (Oct 13), and to say there was darn near caused a frenzy would be the understatement of the century.
Çağatay Ulusoy and Demet Özdemir, the stars of Tims & B's Eşref Rüya (distributed internationally as “Eshref Ruya” by Inter Medya), attracted a diverse crowd from various countries, each eager to catch a glimpse of the international stars.
The mega hit series currently airing on Kanal D in Türkiye follows the story of Eshref, who fell in love with a girl he once saw from afar during his childhood —a girl whose name he never knew and who lives in his memory only as “Ruya” (Dream). After being sent to prison at a young age, he lost all trace of her.
Years later, in an unexpected turn of events, he jumps in to save singer Nisan at a wedding, unbeknownst to them that she is the girl he has been looking for his whole life. Nisan is attracted to Eshref but wary of his dangerous world, and wants to preserve her independence. When her sister Afra is involved in a murder case, Nisan is coerced into becoming an informant for the police to protect Afra. As Nisan and Eshref grow closer, their feelings intensify, but hidden secrets from the past threaten to tear them apart.
Currently in its second season, Eşref Rüya continues to generate palpable buzz, already securing sales in multiple territories worldwide, with many more in the pipeline.
