“Sevdan Bir Ateş” – a new series produced by CNP Film and coming soon to Show TV – brought its entire cast together for the first time for a table read. Led by Murat Ünalmış and Özge Özacar, the series, which will follow the enduring story of Mirza and Leyla, is set to be directed by Murat Saraçoğlu and written by Eda Tezcan and Selda Akın.
Further cast includes Sitare Akbaş, Gökçe Eyüboğlu, Yeşim Gül, Taner Rumeli, Yusuf Gökhan Atalay, Hande Canpolat, İsmail Hakkı Ürün, Kayra Sır, Sezin Bozacı, Süreyya Kilimci, Ceren Taşçı, Aslıhan Karalar, Ege Gönülal, Melih Kırkbir, Sermet Yeşil, and Soydan Soydaş.
Speaking at the table read, lead actor Murat Ünalmış said he was delighted to be part of a project with such a strong team. The actor, who has lived in Cappadocia for nearly 20 years, explained that filming the series there holds special significance for him:
“I’m very happy to be returning home and filming a series here. I’ve worked with Murat Saraçoğlu on several projects before, and I’m thrilled and excited to be working with him again.”
Özge Özacar echoed Murat Ünalmış’s sentiments, saying that having people on the team whom she has worked with before and cares deeply about gives her a sense of confidence. Explaining that she always follows her heart when embarking on a new project, the actress shared her feelings:
“Whenever I set out on a new journey, I always ask myself, ‘Does this feel like a heavy burden or a light one?’ My heart feels very light with this project. I’m incredibly excited to be part of such a wonderful team and to film amid Cappadocia’s enchanting atmosphere.”
Blending family secrets, revenge, forbidden love, and confrontations with the past, “Sevdan Bir Ateş” will premiere on Show TV in the new season.
